Dmitry Shorin

About the artist

Dmitry Shorin was born in 1971 in Novosibirsk. He lives and works in Moscow and Budapest. He studied at Omsk Pedagogical University named after Gorky at the Faculty of Art and Graphics. Since 1999, the artist’s works have been exhibited at Sotheby’s and Phillips international auctions. In 2008 Dmitry Shorin became the youngest artist to be awarded a solo exhibition at the Marble Palace of the State Russian Museum. In 2013, the project “I believe in angels” was presented at the 55th Venice Biennale.

His works are in the collections of the Russian Museum, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, in the corporate collections of Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg, the Airport in Riga, as well as in private Russian and foreign collections, including Roman and Sofia Trotsenko, Dmitry and Tatiana Lukovnikov, Ekaterina Berezovskaya, Ivan Tyryshkin and others.
