About the artist

Misha Buryj creates anthropomorphic sculptures from publishing industry waste and found materials, exploring the intersection of ecology and hyperconsumption. The artist assembles a collective imprint of modernity from fragmented elements, drawing attention to the relentless flow of production that fuels contemporary life – marked by excess. He works across sculpture, video, installation, and painting.

Misha Buryj: “For my works, I use leftovers from publishing production. From these found materials, I create sculptures resembling human silhouettes. These pieces visualize the modern human condition, where we constantly consume objects and information in an attempt to define our own unique identity. Thus, my sculptures embody traces of mass culture, forming a collective unconscious imprint of contemporary humanity.”
