SISTEMA GALLERY presents the solo exhibition ‘REBUS’ by artist Sergey Bugaev-Afrika. The exhibition features works ranging from early experiments of the 1990s to monumental canvases created in the 2020s. Each work is not an object, but an event and a space. It is an invitation to a dialogue in which the viewer becomes a co-creator, and their perception forms the final stage of the creative act. It all begins with a simple children’s riddle and transforms into a highly complex philosophical tool for diagnosing the times, exploring the archaeology of the collective psyche, and searching for a language in the wake of catastrophe.
