SISTEMA GALLERY has become a participant of the Cosmoscow 2025 International Contemporary Art Fair. Base section, Stand № B9.
Artists: Stanislav Shuripa, Misha Most, Misha Buriy.
SISTEMA GALLERY’s stand “SIMULACRA: between pixel and concrete” offers the viewer to immerse themselves in the shifting boundary of digital and physical, where the works of Stanislav Shuripa, Misha Most and Misha Buriy collide in a dialogue about a new reality — hybrid, algorithmic, but still tangible. The art of these authors plays with the substitution of reality with its images. Stanislav Shuripa creates “ideal” worlds, Misha Most revives digital fantasies in the city, and Misha Buriy exposes the material basis of any illusions.
Stanislav Shuripa’s works are visual explorations of the boundary between the physical and the virtual, where urban landscapes transform into geometrically precise but deserted interfaces resembling futuristic computer simulations. His painting imitates digital aesthetics, creating the effect of a “window” into an alternative reality, where space is organized according to the laws of algorithms, and a person becomes an unnecessary element. The artist explores how technology transforms our perception of the environment, turning urban structures into abstract patterns, like frozen stills from science fiction.
Misha Most decodes digital into analog, preserving the dynamics of graffiti. The shape turns out to be changeable: it loses the boundaries of the square, leaves the two-dimensional world and acquires hybrid features. New symmetrical relationships are emerging between bio- and synthetic materials, in which each of the agents resists full control, and the transformation of the environment occurs due to their synergy.
Misha Buriy’s sculptures, created from advertising waste, scraps of plywood and plastic, become a material counterpoint to the digital worlds of Most and Shuripa. His objects literally sculpt modernity from its own refuse: fragments of banners, packages and construction debris are put together in compositions resembling either art objects or archaeological finds. Buriy exposes the “seams” of reality, showing how mass culture and the environmental crisis are shaping our environment.
Stanislav Shuripa was born in 1971 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Lives and works in Paris. Graduated from the University of Art History (1999) and the course "New Artistic Strategies" at the Institute of Contemporary Art (2002). From 2002 to 2004 studied at the Waland School of Art at the University of Gothenburg (Sweden). Received a Master of Arts Degree. Artist, curator, art theorist, rector of the Joseph Backstein Institute of Contemporary Art. Among his personal exhibitions is “Formula of the Monument to Empire” at the Gothenburg Museum of Art (Sweden, 2010).
View artist's pageMisha Most was born in 1981 in Moscow, where he currently lives and works. Participant ofthe Moscow International Biennale of Contemporary Art and the Moscow InternationalBiennale of Young Art (2011, 2012). Nominee for the Kandinsky Prize (2008). In 2016, in theBronx (New York, USA), Misha Most created one of his largest works abroad (300 sq.m.). In2017, on the facade of a metallurgical plant in the city of Vyksa (Nizhny Novgorod region,Russia), the artist created a monumental work measuring 10,000 square meters, which is aworld record. In September 2017, at a solo exhibition at the Vinzavod Center forContemporary Art, Misha Most presented a unique development, the world's firstprogrammed drawing drone. In 2023, he led a successful project to develop a unique droneartist capable of creating large-format street murals. In 2024, in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, he led aproject where a street mural was created by a man and two drones at the same time. At theCosmoscow 2023 International Contemporary Art Fair, he presented a performance in whichthe author's works were created using a robo-hand and a unique nozzle for working withspray paint.

Misha Buryj was born in 1986 Graduated from the Naberezhnye Chelny College of Arts(2004–2008) and the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) with a degree inAnimation and Computer Graphics (2008–2014). Resident of the SVODY program at theGES-2 House of Culture, the Garage Museum’s Studios, and the Open Studios at theWinzavod Center for Contemporary Art. Participated in the 2nd Triennial of RussianContemporary Art, "A Beautiful Night for All the People", at the Garage Museum ofContemporary Art. Project "Clot" (2021) was awarded the Ruinart Art Patronat grant andfeatured as a solo exhibition at the Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair inMoscow. Artworks are held in private collections in Russia, Italy, and France.
