FAIR DESCRIPTION

SISTEMA GALLERY at Kiaf SEOUL 2025 — International Contemporary Art Fair in Seoul. Booth №G06.

Artists: Rostan Tavasiev, Vladimir Dubossarsky.

The SISTEMA GALLERY booth is a dialogue about how a person understands space through myth, metaphor and imagination, turning infinite space into a mirror of their own hopes and fantasies.

Rostan Tavasiev’s series “Asteroids and Comets” explores space as a space of imagination and memory. The artist turns celestial bodies into metaphors of time – fleeting, yet eternal. His asteroids seem like characters from other worlds, keeping their own secrets and stories. These are not just images of cosmic objects, but an attempt to give them character, emotions, almost human features, forcing the viewer to see a living presence in the cold universe. In his works, space is not a detached abyss, but a field for reflection on the beginning and the end, on journeys that never end.

Vladimir Dubosarsky’s works show space as a stage for the meeting of the everyday and the cosmic, his images turn into symbols of dreams, play and irony. The characters in his canvases remind us that we perceive space not only as science, but also as a space for dreams, where everything is possible: the universe is full not only of mystery, but also of a light, almost childish naivety.

Space is presented in a double light at this stand. The artists invite us to take a journey: one into childhood dreams of kind asteroids and smiling comets, the other into ironic but touching stories about how earthly creatures carry their habits, fears and warmth into space. This is a conversation about how even among the stars we seek and find something familiar and human – be it fairy-tale images or simple earthly joys.
