The “Revak” series features arched structures reminiscent of the beauty of Byzantine churches and Ottoman mosques. The name “Revak” is a beautiful Turkish word of Arabic origin for the arched porticos of traditional mosques. I visited and looked at Ottoman mosques and Byzantine churches in Istanbul and Anatolia. Working on this project, I felt I had a connection to the people who designed and built these great architectural monuments.”
