Daria Arbuzova
Daria Arbuzova was born in 2001 in Moscow. Graduate of the HSE Art and Design School,the "Animation and Illustration" program (2019-2023). Resident of "Open Studios" atWinzavod (2023-2024). Invited expert for the "Silno" (Strong) residency in Derbent (2024).Was a participant of the collective exhibition “Telling stories. Big Data” at the MoscowMuseum of Modern Art (2023) and the International Contemporary Art Fair |catalog| at theSytin Printing House (2024).
About the artist
In her artistic practice, Daria Arbuzova explores the theme of the contact and annihilation of the real and the virtual and searches for a utopian world. The artist refers to the experience of being in a state of constant transformation of reality. She creates sculptural objects mainly from glass and plastic, using neural networks, working with video art, digital and analog collages. The ephemeral nature of the transparent works focuses attention on the elusive moment of the present and the fragility of the past.
