Nastya Antipova

Nastya Antipova was born in 1997 in Tomsk. Graduated from Tomsk State University at the Faculty ofPhilosophy (2019). Graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Art named after Joseph Bakstein inMoscow (2022), a course at the Moscow Studio of Experimental Sound and Multimedia TechnologiesSA (2022). Participant in the online residency at the Geumgang Biennale of Natural Art, Republic ofKorea (2021), residency at the Centre for Contemporary Experimental Art of Armenia in Yerevan(2022). Resident at the Vinzavod Centre for Contemporary Art’s 7th season of Open Studios inMoscow (2022).Studying at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg (HFBK) in Visual Arts, Germany (2023-2024).Participant in the SomoS Arts residencies programme in Berlin, Germany (2023-2024). The artworksare in private collections in Russia.

About the artist
In her practice, Nastya Antipova explores the issue of social distance, loneliness, and the physical and inner transformation of a person. Her recent projects focus on studying disconnection and distances between people by seeking utopian means of bringing them together and reducing the gaps between one another through empirical, empathetic experience.
