CAPOS(DN)

Dark nebulae are very cold and rarefied gas-and-dust clouds, noticeable only because of their indistinct silhouette against the visible light of more distant objects. Dark nebulae are often the area of star formation.

As part of the work on the Catalogue, a number of sketches of dark nebulae have been developed that require scientific expertise.
