FAIR DESCRIPTION
SISTEMA GALLERY became a participant of the 10th International Contemporary Art Fair Cosmoscow 2022, which was held in Gostiny Dvor in Moscow from September 15 to 17, 2022.

The gallery presented at the fair a personal stand of Rostan Tavasiev with the Asteroids project. A series of paintings and objects reveal what art can look like in space. In 2021, Rostan Tavasiev, in cooperation with the Skoltech Space Center, developed a prototype of a space mission that turns asteroids into bases for astronomical observations and at the same time into works of art. It is planned to place modules in the form of eyes on asteroids that will scan the Main Asteroid Belt for the presence of minerals.
Perhaps it was with the stone picked up during the late Paleolithic by our distant ancestor that the history of art began. It would be fair if the first works of art realized by us and our descendants in space would be asteroids – stones flying in boundless space.
Rostan Tavasiev
Rostan Tavasiev works in the genre of painting, graphics and installation. He is known for his works with soft toys created in the author’s technique called begemotopis. He actively develops the concept of game art. Currently the artist is working with the idea of art in outer space and in an imaginary future.
